At 7879 Gallery & Clayworks, all learners receive coaching from our award-winning professional potter who has over a decade of teaching ceramics. You also get to indulge in a gallery-inspired modern environment that is fully air-conditioned. What’s more, we advocate small-group learning that is right-paced for each individual.
Build stronger teamships, kinships, friendships or relationships over pottery making.
Whatever you’re hoping to build amongst your group of friends, families or team mates, 7879 Gallery can customise a programme just for you. Nested in a charming precinct of Little India, one not only gets to indulge in a gallery-inspired modern environment but also vogue amenities on the vibrant Desker road such as artisanal Gelato shop or cafe that you can learn lion dance and drumming!
Exchange and learn within a pottery enthusiasts community.
For learners not new to pottery, 7879 Gallery and Clayworks offers an open studio rental where you receive coaching directly from an in-studio award-winning professional potter. What’s more, members could market their own style of pottery right here at our gallery!
7879 GALLERY & CLAYWORKS
The inception of 7879 Gallery & Clayworks is a humble one – a conversation over a cuppa of coffee in a hand-crafted ceramic mug between an art educator-ceramic artist and an art collector, who both shared a common vision in making art accessible for all in Singapore. This vision takes the form of an integrated contemporary art gallery and ceramic art studio practice committed to representing some of the most visionary emerging artists in the SEA region, whilst also providing one-one and small-group ceramic art courses at 7879 Gallery & Clayworks to start. From its charming Singapore base at Little India Conservation Heritage area, 7879 Gallery & Clayworks hopes to support emerging Asian artists and share their visionary works with audiences in Singapore for the purpose of creating more dialogues between art and region. Beyond this mission, 7879 also wishes to enrich Singapore’s eyes toward broader local diversities in South East Asia.
A collection of artworks from established artists from SEA for collectors to invest.
Artworks of emerging contemporary artists for accessible art collectors.
Pottery courses for everyone of all ages to experience or for organisation to bond as a team.
Flexible open studio rental for members to hone their craft plus a gallery space to showcase their works.

“Although it’s my first time doing pottery, Amanda has made the experiential lesson fun and informative, hence it is easy and relaxing for me to understand the basics of pottery while having my first go at wheel throwing! Come try it!”
